In
1889, William B. Hibbs purchased a seat on the New
York Stock Exchange and founded the investment firm
that later became Folger Nolan Fleming Douglas Incorporated.
That year marked the beginning of the firm's tradition
of prudent advice for Washington area investors. Members
of our senior management are lifelong Washington area
residents with ties to the city's financial, political,
and cultural institutions. Our headquarters building,
across from the U.S. Treasury, sits strategically
at the hub of Washington. Such notables as Robert
Todd Lincoln, Will Durant, Ty Cobb and Bernard Baruch
have been clients. Today our list of clients continues
to include many of Washington's best known families.
