A Washington Tradition
In 1889, William B. Hibbs purchased a seat on the New York Stock Exchange and founded the investment firm that later became Folger Nolan Fleming Douglas, Inc. That year marked the beginning of the firm’s commitment to providing independent advice to Washington area investors. Over a century later, independent advice continues to drive our firm’s philosophy, providing our clients with confidence and direction as they plan for the future.
Financial innovation has transformed world markets and the work we do for our clients. Our latest platform provides clients with a full array of financial services, including investment, insurance and banking solutions. Our ability to adapt to the ever-changing financial services landscape has underpinned our firm’s longevity and will continue to aid us as we work to help our clients achieve their investment goals.
Our mission today is the same as it was when the firm was founded in 1889 to provide sound financial advice and high quality service to our clients. We conduct business by putting our clients’ interests first, a time-tested formula that has worked for over one hundred twenty-five years.
